Things to do while in town

  • While you're in town for our wedding, we want you to have a fantastic time exploring the beautiful state of Washington. Here are some recommendations for things to do:

Explore Seattle: Make sure to visit iconic landmarks like the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and the Museum of Pop Culture. You can also enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront or take a relaxing harbor cruise.

Outdoor Adventures: Washington's natural beauty is unparalleled. You might want to consider going hiking in the nearby mountains, such as the Cascades or Olympic National Park, or experiencing the serene beauty of the San Juan Islands.

Wine Tasting: Washington is renowned for its wineries. We suggest you visit some of the local wineries in Woodinville, Walla Walla, or the Yakima Valley for delightful wine tasting tours.

Scenic Drives: Take in the stunning views of the Pacific Coast Highway along the Washington coast or embark on a picturesque journey through the North Cascades Highway.

Outdoor Recreation: Depending on the season, enjoy activities such as skiing or snowboarding in the winter, or indulge in kayaking, biking, and golfing during the summer.

Cultural Experiences: Immerse yourselves in our local arts and culture scene by exploring museums, theaters, or attending live music performances.

Day Trips: Consider taking day trips to nearby destinations like Mount Rainier National Park, Mount St. Helens, the charming Bavarian-style town of Leavenworth, or even a visit to Vancouver, Canada, if you have the necessary travel documents.

Food Adventures: Washington boasts a thriving food scene. Be sure to try our local seafood, savor farm-to-table restaurants, and explore food markets.

Relaxation: If you're looking for relaxation, treat yourselves to a spa day, soak in natural hot springs, or simply unwind in one of our beautiful parks and gardens.

Craft Beer: If you enjoy craft beer, don't miss out on visiting some of the state's breweries and brewpubs, especially in areas like Seattle, Spokane, and Bellingham.

We hope these suggestions help you make the most of your time in Washington while celebrating with us. Enjoy your stay!

  • Given that our wedding falls on a Saturday during a long weekend, we recommend planning a weekend getaway to make the most of your visit. Arriving on Friday and departing on Sunday or Monday would allow you to fully enjoy the celebrations, explore the local area, and relax without feeling rushed. Of course, the duration of your stay is entirely up to you, and we appreciate any amount of time you can join us for our special day!

  • For someone who has never visited Washington and is looking to explore the highlights of the state, here are some must-see attractions and experiences. However, there are so many beautiful places to visit that it would require a few weeks to visit them all.

Instead, I would suggest checking out our google maps list of all our favorite local places within the Greater Seattle area.
